LG KG240 and KG245 ReviewThe most striking thing about the LG KG240 and the LG KG245 cellular phones is their simplistic elegance. Still, like its more expensive counterparts, this black flip phone will do just about anything the user wants it to. A tiny 21.8 millimeters thick and weighing in at only 83 grams, the KG240 is anything but a burden to carry around. Considering that the phone’s battery will keep it alive for up to 200 hours on standby, constantly having to lug around a phone charger won’t be an issue.

The KG240 has two display screens, an internal one and an external one. The external OLED display shows 65,000 colors in all of their glory, with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels. The internal TFT screen is even more powerful, capable of displaying 262,000 colors with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels.

The camera that is enclosed in the KG240 has a built in flash and can zoom up to four times the original picture size. A timer mode and multi shot function round out the camera’s features. Once taken, the photos can be viewed as a slide show or set as a wallpaper on the phone. Also, pictures (along with audio and video) can be sent to email addresses or other capable phones, thanks to the MMS support. WAP 2.0 technology enables owners to access internet based services and content like news, sports, ringtones, weather reports and more.

Bluetooth enabled, users of the LG KG240 and KG245 mobile phones can be used completely hands free while talking or transferring data. 64 polyphonic MIDI technology means that the phone can play 64 notes simultaneously, so the ringer will always be heard loud and clear. Also, because the phone is Tri band users can operate their phone in most countries (network operator dependent).
