LG CG300 ReviewThese days, cell phones seem to have all of the bells and whistles imaginable. From cameras to songs, the cell phone companies keep trying to outdo one another. The LG CG300 cellular phone, however, has something a little bit different than most people have seen before. With the touch of one button, users can speak with up to 30 people instantly. Called the push to talk feature, it acts as a walkie-talkie and is by far the coolest feature that the phone has to offer. Still, there are several others that run a close second.

Weighing only 3.4 ounces, the LG CG300 mobile phone is less than an inch thick and the face has a surface area of less than eight square inches when closed. On standby, the battery will last almost ten and a half days. When constantly in use, it’ll last about three and a half hours. The external LCD screen is a monochrome STN with color filter and is 96 x 64 pixels. The internal display is significantly more substantial, with 65,000 different colors shown and 128 x 160 pixels.

The camera in the CG300 is a high quality VGA with flash, and WAP 2.0 can be accessed by touching a single button. There is also a built in mirror for easy self portraits and there are three different resolution options that one can choose from. Add that to the three time digital zoom and self timer, and this camera is pretty well rounded. The phone will hold up to 300 photos in its memory at a time, and the shutter sound, brightness, white balance and color effects are all customizable.

Bluetooth capable, the LG CG300 is an excellent cell phone for sending both text and instant messages over the wireless network. Java 2.0 is also available for game, music and application downloads.
