LG B2050 ReviewWhen looking at the LG B2050 cellular phone for the first time, one immediately thinks that this is the phone of the future (perhaps this is where the phone gets its name?). It’s sleek, silver design is highlighted by a CSTN type, 65,000 color 128 x 128 pixel size screen. A candy bar style phone, all of the buttons are easily accessed without having to deal with flipping open (and potentially breaking) a flip. Additionally, the internal antenna prevents problems like snagging and snapping, as well as makes the phone easy to slip into a tight pocket or small space.

Including the battery, the LG B2050 weighs only 75 grams and at thinnest part the phone is only 13.1 millimeters thick. The phone is the slimmest and lightest of the LG line, but also puts the B2050 in the category as one of the smallest phones in the world.

That said, this tiny piece of technology doesn’t skimp on features at all. WAP 2.0 provides users with internet based content including ringtone and wallpaper downloads, news, stock information and weather reports. The 40 polyphonic sound will clearly and simultaneously play 40 notes at the same time, so personalized ringtones are easy to recognize and will be heard loud and clear.

The phone’s memory allows users to identify up to seven different caller groups, at up to 20 people per group, to make mass text messaging a breeze. Also, unique ringtones and icons can be set to each group, making work calls and play calls distinguishable at a glance.

As far as messaging goes, the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) allows images, audio and video to be sent and received with text to other compatible phones. All in all, the LG B2050 mobile phone is an incredibly smart, fashionable buy, and is anything but a fad.
